Dazaifu (太宰府市, Dazaifu-shi) is a town located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.[1]

Although mostly urban, it does have arable land used for paddy fields and market gardening.[1]

The Dazaifu Central Bureau is located in this town. It acts as the central point for operation and political decisions in the Kyushu area.[2]
